Multibody analysis

RCC Nova perform models of multibody systems with different degrees of geometry complexity, beginning from simple mechanism (like switches, crossheads or tram and rail pantographs) to complex models of road and rail vehicles.

Such kind of analysis cover the verification and optimization of the model kinematics, dynamic analysis of cooperating components with determination of its displacement, velocity and acceleration or nodal and contact forces for model built by rigid or susceptible body.

Our simulation methods allow for:

  • verification of correct mechanism operating,
  • verification/optimization with known criteria – kinematics (motion trajectory and velocity of mechanism components) and the dynamics (accelerations),
  • determination of nodal and contact forces of kinematic pairs,
  • reduction of time, cost and necessity of making prototypes in terms of implementation of the new construction to production process.
