Vibration test

Evaluation of vibrations is one of the most important test performed to judge durability of electrical and mechanical components in automotive, machinery and aerospace industries. Based on those tests, the estimation of object life cycle can be determined. Correct working during the vibration test ensure the correct behavior of tested object in real working conditions. Moreover, the vibrations test allow to determine sort of dynamic parameters, like eigen frequencies.
Vibration tests are performed in order to:

 

  • Qualification of the object in case of reliability and fatigue
  • Designation of dynamic properties

Available electromagnetic shakers allow to test object with mass up to 200kg. Types of extortion:

Sinusoidal signal

Widely use for sort of components with rotating balance, like engines. Potential equipment for those tests: engine components, electronic systems.

Random noise

Used wherever the object is subjected to random extortion, e.g. in transport – component mounted on vehicles, suspension system, electronics.

Impact tests

Used for arms industry, electronic equipment, transport simulations, wherever temporary high vibrations occur.

Special group of vibration tests are the durability tests – object is set into resonance, and this condition is kept for n-cycles or a specific time period. In case of any breakage or another damages, the construction improvement or exploitation parameters change have to be applied.

Moreover, with use of electro-magnetic shakers the dynamic parameters of an objects can be designated, especially resonance frequencies, damping and vibration mode shapes.
